Scythe Unveils Mugen 6 ASUS TUF ALLIANCE Edition CPU Coolers
Scythe, the renowned Japanese manufacturer of PC cooling solutions, has introduced two new Mugen 6 ASUS TUF ALLIANCE edition CPU coolers. These latest models are refined versions of the company’s popular Dual Fan ARGB designs, now featuring exclusive co-branding with ASUS’s TUF Gaming series. The new coolers were first teased through a series of social media posts, offering early glimpses of both white and black variants adorned with distinctive TUF Gaming patterns and logos.
Enhanced Features and Design Updates
The updated Mugen 6 TUF ALLIANCE editions incorporate several improvements over previous iterations. Notably, the proprietary Wonder Tornado 120 mm ARGB fans now come equipped with anti-vibration pads, designed to minimize noise and enhance stability during operation. Additionally, the main heatsink block features a newly coated aluminum fin-stack, which aims to improve both durability and thermal performance.
While the coolers prominently display TUF Gaming branding, it is worth noting that Scythe’s own logo is absent from both the heatsink and the Wonder Tornado fans. This unique approach to co-branding highlights the collaboration with ASUS, though it remains to be seen if Scythe’s branding will appear on the final retail packaging.
Availability and Pricing
The revamped Mugen 6 ASUS TUF ALLIANCE edition air coolers have officially launched in Taiwan, as reported by ITHome. The initial release price is set at NT$1790, which is approximately $57.10 USD. These premium single-tower air coolers are positioned to appeal to PC enthusiasts seeking both high performance and a distinctive aesthetic that complements TUF Gaming builds.
