Zhitai Unveils TiPlus 7100s PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD with Advanced Xtacking 4.0 NAND

Zhitai, a prominent Chinese storage brand under YMTC, has introduced the TiPlus 7100s, an enhanced PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD that builds on the foundation of the original TiPlus 7100 released in 2022. This latest model incorporates YMTC’s cutting-edge Xtacking 4.0 3D NAND technology, delivering significant improvements in performance, storage density, and reliability.

Next-Generation Xtacking 4.0 3D NAND Technology

At the core of the TiPlus 7100s is YMTC’s fifth-generation 3D TLC NAND, featuring an impressive 294-layer structure. The Xtacking 4.0 architecture utilizes hybrid bonding to seamlessly integrate logic and memory arrays, resulting in higher I/O throughput and enhanced data integrity compared to previous generations.

Performance and Specifications

Despite the absence of a dedicated DRAM cache, the TiPlus 7100s achieves remarkable speeds. Sequential read performance reaches up to 7,400 MB/s, while sequential write speeds top out at 6,900 MB/s. Random read and write operations are also notably improved, with the drive delivering up to 1,500,000 IOPS in both categories—a 66% increase in random reads and a 114% boost in random writes over the original TiPlus 7100.

Endurance and Reliability

The TiPlus 7100s offers robust endurance ratings suitable for demanding workloads. The 1 TB model is rated for 600 TBW (terabytes written), the 2 TB version for 1,200 TBW, and the 4 TB variant for 2,400 TBW. These figures position the drive as a reliable choice for users seeking long-term durability in high-performance storage solutions.

Availability and Pricing

The Zhitai TiPlus 7100s is currently available for purchase through the brand’s official JD.com store in China. Pricing is set at ¥659 (approximately $93 USD) for the 1 TB model, ¥1,099 (around $154 USD) for the 2 TB version, and ¥1,999 (about $281 USD) for the 4 TB capacity.
