GALAX's customizable "Boomstar" series of GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards may not be widely recognized in Western markets, but some international coverage emerged last month. The Chinese company frequently introduces products exclusive to certain regions, with its latest offerings including the LUNA (white) and NOX (black) variants. Owners of these cards have the ability to easily attach and detach Boomstar shrouds and cooling fans using a convenient magnetic system. GALAX appears to be working on another modular component, as indicated by their recent teaser material. A sleek mirror-finish backplate design has been spotted online, as reported by VideoCardz. Renderings released so far only feature white models with reflective back surfaces. The current LUNA and NOX models are available for the GeForce RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 GPUs. Unfortunately, the high-end "Blackwell" chip from NVIDIA is no longer being sold in China, with a downgrade to a GeForce RTX 5090D on the horizon. GALAX had previously been promoting an impressive lineup of record-breaking Hall of Fame graphics cards. On the lower end of NVIDIA's gaming GPU range, there are indications of a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Boomstar model in development.
